Hillsborough County's 26th Annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony. In partnership with the Veterans Council of Hillsborough, our ceremony will feature Gold Star Families and other special guests, followed by refreshments and fellowship. Brigadier General Stephen P. Snelson, Deputy Director of Operations, U.S. Central Command will serve as the keynote speaker.
Our Veterans Memorial Park and monuments welcome visitors until 5 p.m. daily, and for the military community, this annual remembrance event is much more than a kick-off to summertime. Honoring the meaning of Memorial Day, a federal holiday since 1971, is true to our mission.
