FDOT is co-hosting a Job Fair and Business Expo in support of the OnBoard Tampa Bay initiative in partnership with the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County. The event will be held at the Tampa River Center at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park (JBL) on Tuesday, February 21.
The Job Fair (morning session) will introduce job seekers to a career in construction and connect them with local road and bridge contractors seeking to hire for various positions. Here are some of the projects that contractors are hiring for; Howard Frankland Bridge, Westshore Interchange, and the Downtown Tampa Interchange.
The Business Expo (afternoon session) will provide interested parties and local small and minority-owned businesses with information on how to conduct business with local government agencies, connect with prime contractors, and learn more about business development opportunities.
