Tom Quigley here, i have been a local resident since 1993. I am married to Lisa Quigley founder of Chill Cawfee, a women owned local Coffee Shop and Botanical Social. Prior to launching Chill Cawfee in the area ( we have 2 locations our newest in Lake St.Charles, I was in telecom for 17 years, until i was mis diagnosed with a mass on my pancreas in 2013. After that life changing experience, I helped to legalize medical marijuana in Florida and have been working to help others understand the benefits of alternative healing plants. We are able to do that in an inviting atmosphere and over a cup of coffee now. I love learning new things, and networking. I hope to meet many of you at an event or just pop in our coffee shop and say hello!

I'm Pamla J. Christian and I am a native Floridian. Cleaning has always been a precedence, like... a second nature for me. Things went to an extreme, when I had a car accident , while attending middle school. I was unable to walk for a few months, yet I was still compelled to clean. I did so, while pulling myself around, using my arms. This incident took place many years ago and all turned out well. The notion to clean, is still imbedded within me. My motto is: "Life is Peaceful and Free, when your home is Clean, with No debris!" Cleaning can also be a fun experience. D. Cassie Bermudez Engel is a native-Floridian, and Cuban American, who has resided throughout the State of Florida.  She attended the University of South Florida on full academic scholarship, earning degrees in Criminology and Political Science, and graduating in 2006. She then attended the University of Miami School of Law (UM) where she was vice president of the Association of Caribbean Law Students and actively participated in the moot court board.  During her time at UM, she clerked for the Honorable Judge Paul Huey in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. She also worked as a law clerk for a prestigious Miami-Dade County civil litigation firm.  Cassie graduated from UM in 2009 and immediately began her litigation career. 

Cassie has spent more than a decade handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation, focusing on Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims, fraudulent insurance claims, and bodily injury claims.  She has worked at small boutique law firms, in house for major insurance carriers, and most recently as a partner at a large nationwide practice.  She has served as lead counsel on thousands of cases statewide.

Cassie now contributes this knowledge and experience for the benefit of medical professionals and injured individuals. She is zealous about obtaining the best financial outcome for her clients and supporting them while they navigate the difficult terrain of insurance claims and personal injuries. 

Brad has been in the lighting industry for over 8 years.  Originally from Canada, we love the sun and keeping the fun vibes flowing at night (especially with good lighting).  Avid sports fans and lovers of challenges and competition. We have lived in Texas, Alabama and now Florida.  We have a large family and love meeting new people.

Dr. Monica Maybank prides herself on being a bridge builder. Growing up in the Orange Curtain of California in a predominantly White, wealthy, conservative, and religious region—she understands what it’s like to live at the intersection of multiple identities.

Launching The Almond Group at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic after serving as an education lobbyist for almost a decade, she has built a reputation as a strategic advisor and relationship-broker across organizations and ideologies.  

Dr. Maybank leads strategy for The Almond Group and works one-on-one with executives, leadership teams, and diversity councils throughout the country to help shape and implement long-term strategic visions for organizational change.

Dr. Maybank holds an Executive Certificate in Strategic Diversity & Inclusion Management from Georgetown University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Howard University and a doctoral degree in education policy, evaluation, and reform from Claremont Graduate University.
